On December 5, the Hunan Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment announced that it intends to approve the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) on the 1 million t/a ethylene refining and chemical integration and refining supporting renovation project, constructed by Sinopec Hunan Petrochemical Co., Ltd., which plans to invest RMB35.68 billion to build the project in Hunan Yueyang Green Chemical High-tech Industrial Development Zone.
