Chongqing Economic and Information Technology Commission recently issued the 'High-quality Development Plan for Synthetic Material Industry (2023-2027)', detailing four development trends: 1) dominant synthetic materials like polyurethane and polyamide; 2) synthetic materials growing rapidly, e.g. polycarbonate and epoxy resin; 3) fluorine materials such as polyvinyl fluoride and polyvinylidene fluoride; 4) degradable materials. According to the plan, Chongqing’s output value of synthetic materials will reach RMB100 billion in 2027, with average annual growth rate of around 10%.
