Five departments, including the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, etc., jointly issued Opinions on Speeding up Establishment of Product Carbon Footprint Management System, detailing main tasks, calling for issuing around 50 national key product carbon footprint accounting rules and standards by 2025 (around 200 by 2030), etc. Other targets mainly include basically completing construction of carbon footprint background databases in a group of key industries, and establishing national product carbon labelling certification system, both by 2025.
