At the beginning of April, the National Energy Administration (NEA) held a meeting to speed up implementation of Plan to Promote Integrative Development of Oil-Gas Exploration and New Energy (2023-2025), calling for guaranteeing oil and gas supply security by taking measures such as: 1) developing deep-sea, deep-strata and unconventional oil and gas resources; 2) increasing recovery ratios of old oil and gas fields; 3) greatly conducting clean energy replacement in the area of oil and gas exploration and development, an effective way to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions during oil and gas production.
