CNOOC to List Shares on SSE

CNOOC – China's largest offshore oil and gas producer and one of the world's largest oil and gas exploration and development companies – filed to list shares on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE), an action to introduce domestic capital, gradually improve shareholder structure, enrich financing channels, expand the company's influence, etc. On February 24, the China Securities Regulatory Commission announced that the application was approved.

Through the IPO, CNOOC plans to issue 2.6 billion shares at most to raise no more than RMB35 billion, which will be used in oil and gas field projects at home and abroad, like Guyana’s Payara oil field, Liuhua 11-1/4-1 oil field, Lingshui 17-2 gas field, etc.
