Recently, Sinopec and Air Liquide’s first cooperation project in hydrogen development in China, the West Shanghai Petro-Hydrogen Refueling Station and Anzhi Petro-Hydrogen Refueling Station, was completed and put into trial run.

The project includes two refueling stations, with comprehensive functions, both of which are secondary petro and hydrogen refueling stations, including two gasoline tanks, two diesel tanks and four hydrogen storage tanks.

Being built on the site of the existing petro stations and transformed by scientific research and innovation, the two stations manifest the best way so far to utilize hydrogen energy. They adopt the most advanced equipment and technology in the world, with a daily hydrogen refueling capacity of 1 000 kg, which can serve urban hydrogen fueled buses and passenger vehicles in all directions and around the clock.

According to the medium-term goal of the "Shanghai Fuel Cell Vehicle Development Plan", Shanghai will build 50 hydrogen-refueling stations by 2025. Sinopec Shanghai will use the existing 580 petro-stations and other land resources to make a rational layout on the major urban roads and highway networks in various districts in Shanghai.
