On October 30, 2015, LANXESS brought Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra Concert to China’s audience in the Shanghai Symphony Hall. Maestro Tang Muhai is again invited as the conductor this year. The concert is an important part in LANXESS’ 10th anniversary celebration which takes place under the motto “Energizing Your Future”.
The Young Euro Classic initiative brings together the greatest talents from Europe and LANXESS’ main markets around the world. It is the eighth time that LANXESS China teams up with Young Euro Classic to support young talents in music and the initiative has already brought concerts to major cities in China such as Beijing, Shanghai, Changzhou, Qingdao and Wuxi. This year, Young Euro Classic brings two brilliant soloists Simon Hofele and Elena Graf to perform Trumpet Concerto in E-flat major, Hob.VIIe 1 by Joseph Haydn and Violin Concerto in E minor, Op.64 by Felix Mendelssohn respectively. After the solo performance, Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra stages Johannes Brahms Symphony No. 2 in D major, Op. 73.
“In the past decade, for the growth in China, LANXESS has not only made investments in technology and production, but also in culture and education. We are very pleased to sponsor such an event tonight as a responsible corporate citizen in the society to broaden the exchanges between China and Germany,” said Ming Cheng Chien, CEO of LANXESS Greater China.
