China’s foreign exchange reserves reached US$3.11 trillion at the end of June, up 0.3% or US$10.6 billion from a month earlier, according to data from the State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE).

In the international financial market, US dollar index fell slightly, while asset prices of major countries rose. The combination of exchange rates and changes in asset prices were the main drivers of foreign exchange reserves growing slightly in June, said Wang Chunying, a spokeswoman and deputy director of the SAFE. China’s foreign exchange reserves will remain generally stable, Wang added.
