New Yangfeng Completes 480 000 T/A DAP Project     

Hubei New Yangfeng Fertilizer Co., Ltd. (New Yangfeng), a subsidiary of Hubei Yangfeng Group, commenced the production of its second phase 480 000 t/a diammonium phosphate (DAP) project in Yichang of Hubei province on January 8th.
    The second phase with an investment of RMB300 million includes two DAP production units with a capacity of 240 000 t/a each, one 200 000 t/a phosphoric acid unit and a 600 000 t/a sulfuric acid, and construction on the second phase was started in late March 2009. (CCR 2009, No.11)
    New Yangfeng signed an investment contract with Yichang Municipal Government in May 2004 to construct large phosphate and compound fertilizer project. In October 2004 the company began construction of the first phase and started it up in October 2005.
    With an investment of RMB350 million, the first phase includes 500 000 t/a monoammonium phosphate (MAP), 600 000 t/a sulfur-based sulfuric acid, 150 000 t/a urea-based compound fertilizer and 250 000 t/a phosphoric acid.
