Hongyu Energy Laid Foundation for Salt Chemical Project     

Jiangxi Hongyu Energy Development Co., Ltd. (Hongyu Energy) laid a foundation for the construction of its salt chemical and coal chemical integrated base in Zhangshu of Jiangxi province, on November 25th.
   The project is scheduled to be constructed in two phases. The first phase which has an initial investment of RMB3.5 billion will produce 400 000 tons of super white solar glass, 1.3 million tons of stamp-charging coke every year when full operational before July 2011. The second phase has an investment of RMB4.0 billion and will produce 1.2 million tons of Hou's soda ash, 1.3 million tons of stamp-charging coke and 1.0 million tons of industrial salts annually when full operational in 2015. After the completion, the whole project is expected to add sales revenue of RMB10 billion for the company.
   The project will use coking gas generated in the stamp-charging coke oven to produce synthetic ammonia, which will be for the use of manufacturing soda ash and ammonia chloride along with the abundant local salt resources.
