Interim Review Investigation on Dimethyl Ketone Case     

The Ministry of Commerce (MOC) announced on September 10th it instituted interim review on imports of dimethyl ketone (acetone or 2-propanone, HS code: 29141100) from Korean Kumho P & B Chemicals, Inc. The review investigation term is set from July 1st, 2008 to June 30th, 2009.
   On June 10th, 2008 China started to impose antidumping tax on imports of dimethyl ketone from Japan, Singapore, Korea and Taiwan province over five years. Antidumping tax rate for Kumho P & B Chemical was 8.9%. The firm submitted a report to MOC on June 26th, 2009, requesting MOC to cut the tariff rate. (CCR2008 No. 19)
