MOC Posts Review Result on TDI Case
The Ministry of Commerce (MOC) announced on August 6th the final review result on the TDI (toluene diisocyanate) (TDI80/20, HS code: 29291010) originated from Japan, Korea and the USA.
Korean OCI Company Ltd. succeeds to the antidumping duty originally imposed for Korean DC Chemical Co., Ltd., at a duty ratio of 4.05%, effective August 7th, 2009. Other Korean firms including DC Chemical, when bringing TDI to China, are imposed antidumping duty at a ratio of 61.14%.
China levied the antidumping tariff on TDI from the three countries from November 22nd, 2003 at a rate range from 3% to 49%. (CCR2003 No. 34)
From January 10th, 2006 the antidumping tariff rate applicable to the imports of TDI from Japan and Korea was changed. (CCR2006 No. 3)

Mitsui Takeda Chemicals, Inc. 12.45%
Other Japanese firms 60.02%
Korean companies:
OCI Co., Ltd. 4.05%
Korean Fine Chemical Co., Ltd. 5.08%
BASF Company Ltd. 15.78%
Other Korean firms 61.14%
