China Reviews Imported Phenol Case    

The Ministry of Commerce announced on January 31st 2008 to review phenol (HS code: 29071110) case originated from Japan, Korea, Taiwan province. The period of dumping investigation is from January 1st, 2008 to December 31st, 2008 while the duration of injury investigation is set in the term of January 1st, 2004 to December 31st, 2008.
   The review over the phenol antidumping case is requested by the domestic leading phenol makers, including Sinopec Shanghai Gaoqiao Petrochemical Company Ltd., Sinopec Beijing Yanhua Petrochemical Co., Ltd. and China BlueStar (Harbin) Petrochemical Co., Ltd.
   China had levied antidumping tariff on phenol imported from the above mentioned countries and region for five years since February 1st, 2004. (CCR2004 No. 5)
