China Bans Weight-Loss Drug Fenfluramine Hydrochloride     

The State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) on January 8th ordered to nationwide halt the production, sales, and uses of fenfluramine hydrochloride, a kind of fat loss drug in the forms of ingredients and preparations.
   It is reported the diet drug can cause acute adverse effects to health, research results showed. SFDA ordered drugs already on the market to be recalled back by producers, destroyed and dealt with by local authorities.
