PPG Ranked 28th among 100 Recognized Enterprises for Contribution to China's 30 Years of Reform and Opening-up      

In the recently announced "Honor and Responsibility - 2008 Multinational Corporation's Contribution to China", PPG Industries (NYSE:PPG) ranked 28th of 100 enterprises winning an award for "Multinational Corporation's contribution to China's 30 years of reform and opening-up."
    One of the first global coatings companies to invest in China in the late 1980s, PPG has 14 manufacturing plants in China, producing and selling 11 major products. PPG complies with high standards in environment, health and safety and product stewardship and is committed to developing and researching environmentally responsible, energy-saving products.
   Each year PPG invests around 3% to 5% of its sales revenues into research and development. About 70% of these funds go into green products and the development of environmentally-responsible technologies, as these are our company's core to competitiveness in current and future markets.
