Inspect Melamine in Food      

The Ministry of Science and Technology of China (MST) is nationwide collecting technologies and products for quick inspection of melamine in liquid milk and dairy products. Relevant agencies of the state are urgently formulating a national standard for inspection of melamine in food.
   According to an executive from the Biological Resource and Safety Division of China National Center for Biotechnology Development (CNCBD) subordinate to MST, the establishment of the national standard for the inspection of melamine needs coordination of various parties. The inspection accuracy requested in the solicitation of process and products for quick inspection of melamine in liquid milk and dairy powder is less than or equal to 2 mg/kg. They should be suitable for scene and swift inspection and the inspection time for each sample is less than 30 minutes on average. Technologies and products or instruments and machine should have relatively low cost and operating expenses.
    By the afternoon of October 7th, CNCBD has received the tendered measures or instruments for quick inspection of melamine from nearly 100 firms.
