Jinhua Group Chlor-Alkali Post Records for H1      

Jinhua Group Chlor-Alkali Co., Ltd. (SZ: 000818) accomplished an operating revenue of RMB1 096.2 million in the first half of 2008, a drop of 1.81% from the same period of 2007, the operating profit of RMR19.2 million, up 1677.39% year-on-year. The net profit was RMB14.1 million, an increase of 49.73%, due to the influence of uncertain loss/profit changes.
   The average selling price of major products was 15.24% higher while the sales cost of products only increased 10.95%, which brought the profit growth.
   Besides, the company got a financial subsidy of RMB20 million from the Liaoning provincial government in 2007. RMB10 million was included in the operating revenue in the first half of 2007. The company, however, failed to get such financial discount in the first half of 2008.
