Pakistan Launches Investigation into Polyester Staple Fiber      

On July 29th, 2008 Pakistan announced to launch a dumping investigation into polyester staple fiber (HS code: 55032010) originated from China, in response to an application submitted by Dewan Salman Fibres Limited, Ibrahim Fibres Limited and ICI Pakistan Limited on June 28th, 2008. The duration of the dumping investigation is from April 1st, 2007 to March 31st, 2008. The duration of the injury investigation is from April 1st, 2005 to March 31st, 2008.
   According to Chinese customs, the total export value of polyester staple fiber was around US$60 million in 2007, accounting for 15% of the total export value.
