Big Change in PF Capacity

Paraformaldehyde (PF) production in China has grown to a
considerable scale today. The total capacity was around 90
thousand t/a in 2006. Since 2007, the production capacity of PF
has increased drastically. Zhenjiang Lee Chang Yung
Comprehensive Petrochemical Co., Ltd. expanded its PF capacity
to 60 thousand t/a in June 2007. Hebei Jizhou Yinhe Chemical Co.,
Ltd. expanded its capacity of PF from 20 thousand t/a to 30
thousand t/a in July 2007. The 30 thousand t/a PF unit (located
in Ningbo) of Yantai Wanhua Polyurethane Co., Ltd. went on stream
in July 2007. The 20 thousand t/a PF unit in Zhejiang Guoguang
Investment Group Co., Ltd. was put into operation in July 2007.
The production capacity of PF therefore has reached around 180
thousand t/a today.
   Besides, there is no further information about launch time
of 10 thousand t/a PF unit in Shanxi Sanwei Group. It is estimated
that the unit will start to produce PF at the end of October 2007.
