BASF Launches Innovative Environment-friendly Solutions

BASF is to showcase its innovative Lepton (R) Feel FR-BB and
Eukesolar (R) E Liquid Dyes with other advanced
environment-friendly leather solutions at the 17th
International Exhibition on Shoes & Leather Industry from May
20th to June 2nd, 2007 in Guangzhou, Guangdong province.
   Lepton (R) Feel FR-BB is the latest edition to BASF's
ecological finishing range. It is a waterborne handle modifier,
utilizing a unique combination of functionalized silicones and
polyethylene dispersions to create a waxy wet touch on leather.
Lepton (R) Feel FR-BB even gives good results when applied in
small quantities. The product is fully compatible with BASF's
finishing range. Lepton (R) Feel FR-BB is an
ecologically-friendly and economically-attractive product for
flexible applications in base or topcoats for shoe uppers,
garments and upholstery.
   The new Eukesolar (R) E range of liquid dyes covers the whole
spectrum and consists of 15 different products. The Eukesolar
(R) E dyes are not only environmental-friendly, but also have
a number of colouristic advantages. They are completely free of
N-methylpyrrolidone. Leather that has been sprayed with
Eukesolar (R) E liquid dyes is distinguished by its brilliant,
intense color and its excellent resistance to staining from
water drops. The Eukesolar (R) E dyes can be used to finish a
wide variety of shoe upper leathers, garment leathers and bag
leathers.
