Polyester Unit in Liaoyang Chemical
            Fiber Co Ltd Expanded to 300 000 T/A
The capacity expansion of the 300 000 t/a polyes- ter  unit
in Liaoyang Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd.   was  completed  and
qualified polyester chip was produced on Oct. 26.
The original capacity of the polyester unit was 200 000 t/a
. It was constructed in the early 90's by  introducing  the
technology and complete  equipment  from  abroad  with  an
  investment  of  2  billion  yuan.   The  unit   suspended
production on Sept. 9 this year to expand the capacity  to
300 000 t/a.  The  investment  of  the  expansion  is  160
million yuan.
