500 T/A n-Butanoic Acid Starts Production in Shandong

On November 19, 1999, a 500 t/a n-butanoic acid unit,   the
largest n-butanoic acid production unit in China, was  put
  on  stream  at  the  No. 2  Fertilizer  Plant   of   Qilu
Petrochemical Corporation in Shandong province.
The unit adopted a domestic technology jointly developed by
the Research Institute for Organic Chemicals and the No. 2
  Fertilizer  Plant,   the   two   subsidiaries   of   Qilu
Petrochemical Corporation. The key equipment in  the  unit
  was  manufactured  by  the  Machinery   Works   of   Qilu
Petrochemical Corporation, and the pureness of n- butanoic
acid the unit produced is 99.5%.
