High-Purity Alcohol Distillation Unit
                Completing Wet Commissioning
The 140 000 t/a high- purity  al- cohol  distillation  unit
  developed  by  Tianjin  University  has   completed   wet
commissioning in Heilongjiang Huaren Jinyu Industrial Co.,
Ltd.
Jinyu Industrial Co., Ltd.  is  China  biggest  corn- based
alcohol producer with a capacity  of  203  000  t/a.   The
company constructed a 100  000  t/a  alcohol  distillation
unit in the past, but the real capacity of  the  unit  was
only 40 000 t/a and the product was  not  qualified.   The
technology developed by Tianjin  University  has  expanded
the capacity of the unit from 40 000 t/a to 140  000  t/a.
  The  unit  has  therefore  become  the  biggest   alcohol
production unit in the world.
