Joint Venture 12 000 T/A Benzyl
            Chloride Unit Reaching Design Capacity
Jiangsu Shuanglin Chemical Indus-trial Group Co., Ltd.  and
a company of Belgium  have  established  a  joint  venture
company of Lianyungang Taile Chemical Industrial Co., Ltd.
Its 12 000 t/a benzyl chloride and  800  t/a  benzaldehyde
unit constructed by the joint venture company has  reached
the design capacity.
The purity of benzyl chloride produced by the  company  can
reach over 99.6%. The capacity of liquid chlorine has been
expanded to 12 000 t/a, and new  product  series  such  as
phenylacetic acid, benzyl trichloride and  benzamide  have
also been developed. Some of these products not only  sell
well in the domestic market, but also are exported to Korea,
Japan and Australia.
