New JV to Be Constructed by Bayer in Shanghai
  - Producing agrochemicals and household insecticides
Bayer of Germany and Shanghai Chinese & Western Medicines Co.
, Ltd. have recently signed two  joint  venture  contracts.
Bayer Chinese & Western Agrochemicals Co., Ltd. and  Bayer
Chinese & Western Household Consumables Co., Ltd. will  be
established in Pudong Xinghuo Economic Development Zone to
  produce  "Baythroid"  and  "Bulldock"  agrochemicals  and
"Baygon" household insecticide.
The total investment of these two joint venture enterprises
is 80 million marks. Bayer Group holds 70%  ownership  and
Shanghai Chinese & Western Medicines Co., Ltd.  holds  30%
ownership.
