450 000 T/A Ammonia Project in Jianfeng Chemicals

The 450 000 t/a ammonia and 800 000 t/a urea project in Jianfeng Chemicals Complex started construction in Fuling, Chongqing on Sept. 8. The project has a total investment of RMB2.813 billion and will start production in 2008. It is the second large chemical fertilizer unit in China after the first 450 000 t/a ammonia unit put up by CNOOC.    The company is located in Baitao Town, Fuling, Chongqing in the southwest of China. It has more than 26 000 employees and a capacity of 520 000 t/a urea and 300 000 t/a ammonia. It can also produce electrolytic manganese, PP packing bags, silica white and compound fertilizers. The technology of the new project is not disclosed.
