 CNOOC Bohai Oilfield Starts Production

CNOOC Nanbao 35-2 Oilfield located in the Bohai Sea started production on Sept. 21. It is another oilfield of CNOOC starting production in the Bohai Sea after the completion of the C/F Platform in Bozhong 25-1 South Oilfield (CCR2005, No.27). The core position of the Bohai Bay in the 5 major crude oil producing regions of CNOOC has therefore been further consolidated.      Nanbao35-2 Oilfield is located in the middle of the Bohai Sea and Tanggu is around 110 km southwest. The water depth in the area is around 12m. Major facilities include two offshore platforms and a 29.5km submarine pipeline. Crude oil produced in the oilfield will be transmitted to FPSO in Qinhuangdao 32-6 oilfield for storage and sales. CNOOC has 100% equity in Nanbao 35-2 Oilfield and also acts as operator.      Nanbao 35-2 Oilfield has 9 wells in production and can produce 3 200 barrels of crude oil a day.
