New document issued to improve energy efficiency

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently issued Notice on Conducting Industrial Energy Conservation Supervision 2024, in an attempt to supervise energy efficiency more stringently, increase energy efficiency of key industries, etc. The document calls for conducting special supervision on energy efficiency of key energy-using equipment, key industries (e.g. petrochemicals, steel, nonferrous metals, papermaking and textiles), etc.
