Shandong is to further standardize road transport of hazardous chemicals, propel intelligent supervision, and improve management and guarantee systems regarding road transport safety of hazardous chemicals, as detailed in Opinions on Improving Road Transport Standardization of Hazardous Chemicals, issued by Shandong provincial government and going into effect in June 2020. Related enterprises are required to standardize operation, upgrade equipment, strengthen emergency response capacity, etc.

China Supports Private Energy Conservation & Environmental Protection Firms

Six departments including the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), the Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE), etc. recently issued Opinions on Supporting Private Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Enterprises. The document calls for opening energy conservation and environmental protection businesses in key industries such as petroleum, chemicals, electric power and natural gas.
