Risun Petrochemical’s 15 000 kt/a Refining Complex Gets Approval

Tangshan Risun Petrochemical has been given the approval of its 15 000 kt/a refining complex. 
The project is designed to refine imported crude. Main construction work will include a 15 000 kt/a crude distillation unit (CDU), a 4 000 kt/a residue hydrocracking unit, a 1 600 kt/a kerosene hydrotreating unit, a 3 000 kt/a gasoil hydrocracker, two 3 600 kt/a VGO hydrocrackers, two 1 750 kt/a aromatics complexes, a 2 000 kt/a light naphtha separation unit, a 1 200 kt/a LPG separation unit, a 1 500 kt/a ethylene cracking unit, a 700 kt/a pyrolysis gasoline hydrotreating unit, a 200 kt/a butadiene (BD) extraction unit, a 400 kt/a alkylation unit, a 900 kt/a ethylene glycol unit, two 300 kt/a polypropylene (PP) units, a 500 kt/a high density polyethylene (HDPE) unit and a 450 kt/a linear low density PE (LLDPE) unit.
