China National Chemical Engineering No.7 Construction Company Limited (hereinafter referred to as “CC-7”) and Baltic Chemical Complex LLC (BCPLLC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gazprom, signed a supplementary agreement for the first phase of the Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) contract.

The supplementary agreement specifies all the tasks, containing the design, construction and site preparation of all production equipment and auxiliary facilities of the Ust-Luga gas and chemical complex in Russia, including ethylene crackers, polyethylene plants, as well as public works, auxiliary works, temporary facilities and complex logistics facilities.

After the first successful cooperation with Turkey’s ETI Soda in natural soda plant, China National Chemical Engineering (Group) Co., Ltd. (CNCEC) has recently undertaken Turkey’s CINER natural soda project in the US. The project has a designed capacity of 5 400 kt/a, which will account for one third of the total soda ash capacity in North America following completion and will become the largest natural soda project in the world.
