Sanjiang Chemical recently announced that it is planning for a 1 000 kt/a ethylene and 1 000 kt/a ethylene oxide (EO)/monoethylene glycol (MEG) project in China Chemical New Materials Park in port zones of Jiaxing City in Jiangsu Province.
The upstream 1 000 kt/a ethylene production facility of the new project will be fed with ethane, naphtha and propane. The downstream 1 000 kt/a EO/MEG plant can adjust the output ratio in accordance with the prices of EO and MEG so as to maximize profits.
