The Ministry of Commerce (MOC) decided to investigate n-propanol (NPA) originating from the US, beginning July 23, 2019. Generally, the investigation is to be finished prior to July 23, 2020, but it can be extended to January 23, 2021 in particular cases. It covers dumping that allegedly occurred from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018, and industry injury that allegedly occurred from January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2018.

On June 14, 2019 the MOC received an application for anti-dumping investigation, submitted by domestic NPA industry representatives – Nanjing Nuoao New Materials Co., Ltd., Nanjing Rongxin Chemical Co., Ltd. and Zibo Nalcohol Chemical Co., Ltd.
