Provincial energy authorities shall confirm wind power and PV power subsidy projects, according to the nation’s 13th Five-Year Plan for Renewable Energy, local power absorption capacity and project competitive allocation, as detailed in a notice the National Energy Administration issued recently.

The competitive allocation plan regards on-grid power price as an important factor, and gives priority to projects with low subsidy intensity and significant reduction trend of subsidy. In addition, the notice calls for propelling grid parity projects, guaranteeing power transmission & absorption, and optimizing investment environment. The notice puts forward explicit requirements for wind power and PV power projects, and will help industry players upgrade related technologies and lower project costs.
