Hengli Petrochemical has successfully started up its second paraffin hydrogenation unit, part of its 20 000 kt/a refining & chemical integration project and achieved on-spec liquefied natural gas (LNG), light naphtha, heavy naphtha, jet fuel, diesel and lubricants. This marks that the company’s two paraffin hydrogenation units, with capacities totalling 3 840 kt/a have realized comprehensive operation, pushing up its total processing capacity to 7 680 kt/a. The two paraffin hydrogenation units adopt the world advanced Axens technology and play a key role in maximizing the conversion of heavy oil.
