Hubei Energy Group will invest RMB48 billon to construct a number of key natural gas projects.
The company plans to invest RMB38 billion in the 4-billion-cbm coal-to-gas project in Jiangling county of Jingzhou, and to invest RMB10 billion in the “Gasification Project of the Yangtze River” at Hubei Section.

The project is designed to transport liquefied natural gas (LNG) by water and can supply 1 billion cbm of natural gas to Hubei province. The location of the primary gas filling station is settled and LNG refueling system and gas storage system of the Yangtze River Hubei section will be completed by 2025.

The company will also build 270 000 cbm of LNG storage tanks (equivalent to 1.5 billion cbm of standard natural gas) in Zhijiang, Yueyang and Wuxue to provide peak-shaving gas storage system for cities and counties along the Yangtze River.
