China’s industrial economy showed a positive trend in 2023, when industrial added value is forecast to have increased more than 4.3% YoY. At a national working conference held on December 21, 2023, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) highlighted key tasks in 2024 involving 12 aspects – striving for stable growth of industrial economy, propelling high-quality development of key industrial chains in the area of manufacturing, improving innovation ability of various industries, speeding up transformation of traditional industries and cultivation of emerging industries, cementing leading position of competitive industries, promoting high-quality growth of information communication industry, boosting low-carbon development, helping small and medium-sized enterprises achieve high-quality development, etc.
